ICWAI
qualified candidates who have successfully completed the
Final Examination of ICWAI will be able to register for
CIMA under the "Gateway Scheme” with immediate
effect;
The CIMA Professional Gateway Assessment (CPGA)
Examination will be a 3 hours written Examination of 100
marks consisting of:
a) 3 compulsory questions (the topics will be identified
and fixed for 2009). Each compulsory question will carry
25 marks.
b) In
addition there will be a series of Objective Test
Questions worth a total of 25 marks.
c) A student
must score at least 50 marks to pass the paper;
The CPGA in
May 2009 will take place on 20th May 2009 in normal CIMA
examination centres in India. Details of these will be
available when examination entry opens on February 2,
2009;
The Fees for
the CPGA Examination will be £40 per sitting;
The course
content has been drafted been drafted by CIMA and awaits
the approval of the Education Committee of CIMA. This
will be posted on the CIMA global website by the end of
next week and a pilot paper will follow soon after.
The admission
procedure will be available in a special link from the
home page of the cimaglobal.com website early next week
Students on the "CPGA" scheme will be EXEMPT from
paying any exemption fees for the 11 exempted papers
available to ICWAI Qualified students;
Registration
fees and annual subscriptions are the same as all other
CIMA students and details are available on CIMA website;
The CIMA HQ
in London will directly co-ordinate admission and
registration related matters and queries throughout
2009.
For admission
and registration as also to appear in the CPGA
Examination, the Student Registration Team of CIMA will
require authorised examination transcripts from ICWAI
and proof that they are members of ICWAI. A candidate
has to retain his membership with ICWAI to maintain
membership with CIMA and vice versa.
