ICWAI and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)
entered into an MOU on 11th July 2008 to offer
specialized B.Com and M.Com Programs for ICWAI students.
Students can simultaneously study this B.Com (F&CA)
progamme with ICWAI Foundation/Intermediate Course and
M.Com (MA &FS) with ICWAI Final Course. Thus, the scheme
facilitates the student to obtain duel degree
simultaneously. IGNOU is inviting applications for
admission in these courses to
December 2009 Session as per details below:
B.COM WITH MAJOR IN FINANCIAL AND COST ACCOUNTING [B.COM
(F & CA)]
Eligibility for Admission: (i) 10+2 or its
equivalence; and (ii) Registration in ICWAI Foundation
course . Students who have passed ICWAI Intermediate
Course shall also be eligible for admission.
Duration: Minimum 3 Years and Maximum 6 years with
a provision for readmission after the completion of
maximum duration.
Medium of Instruction: English and Hindi
Fee: Rs. 4,000/- consolidated for full course
Cost of Prospectus: Rs. 400/-
The programme comprises of 4 courses of IGNOU and passing
of Foundation and Intermediate Course of ICWAI.
The 4 Courses of IGNOU are:
1. Foundation Course in Humanities and Social Sciences
2. Export Procedures and Documentation
3. Business Environmen
4. Communications Skill in English Or English for
Practical Purposes
MASTER OF COMMERCE IN MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING &
FINANCIAL STRATEGIES [M.COM (MA & FS)]
Eligibility for Admission: (i) Graduate in any
discipline or equivalence from a recognized
University/Institute.
(ii) Passed in ICWAI Intermediate
course
Candidates who have already passed the ICWAI Final Course
shall also be eligible for admission.
Duration: Minimum 2 Years and maximum 5 years with a
provision of readmission on the completion of maximum
period.
ICWAI Final passed candidate can complete the course in
one year.
Medium of Instruction: English
Fee: Rs. 6,000/- consolidated for full course
Cost of Prospectus: Rs. 400/-
The programme comprises of 4 courses of IGNOU and
passing of Final Course of ICWAI. The 4 Courses of IGNOU
are:
1. Organization Theory and Behaviour
2. Research Methodology and Statistical Analysis
3. International Business Environment or Business
Environment
4. International Marketing Management or Marketing
Management
The Student Handbook and Prospectus is available on
website at http://www.ignou.ac.in. The application form
can be downloaded from the website and submitted to the
Regional Director concerned along with requisite
Programme fee (to be paid by way of Demand Draft or IPO)
and all other enclosures as per CHECKLIST on or before
the last date i.e. 30th
September
2009. In such a case, candidates are required
to pay an additional amount of Rs.400/- by way of a
separate Demand Draft drawn in favour of IGNOU
payable at the city where the regional Center is located
and Admission Form is being
submitted. A printed copy of the Student Handbook &
Prospectus would be sent to such candidates separately by IGNOU.
The form or DD should not be sent to the head quarters.
The Student Handbook and Prospectus can also be obtained
from all the Regional Centres of IGNOU or from the Registrar, SR&E Division, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi,
New Delhi-110068..

Incomplete application forms shall be summarily rejected
by IGNOU. No correspondence in this regard will be
entertained.
The submission of assignments is compulsory. Assignments
of a course carry 30% weightage while 70% weightage is
given to the term-end examinations.
The University conducts term-end examination twice a year
i.e in June and December.
